The line A-E is the mass grave where ~7000 victims were murdered during the Nazi occupation 1941-45. On 15-17 December 1941 alone, 2739 Jews were shot here. The rectangle F in the lower left may be the ruin of the horse barn of the Kurzeme Artillery Regiment, where some groups of Jews were held overnight before execution.
